Savvy Wealth opens private markets to independent advisors

Savvy Wealth, an AI-native registered investment advisor (RIA) serving independent financial advisors, has rolled out its own private markets programme, giving advisors on its platform a route into venture capital and growth equity opportunities that have traditionally been out of reach for most investors.

Built as a multi-vintage offering, the programme is set to span a range of asset classes over time. It begins with a carefully chosen group of venture and growth managers. Through one commitment, advisors using Savvy’s platform can place clients who qualify as qualified purchasers into these pre-IPO opportunities.

The launch reflects a broader change in how companies develop. Businesses are delaying public listings for longer, and among US firms generating more than $100m in revenue, private companies now significantly exceed public ones in number.

As a result, a large share of corporate growth takes place before a company lists, and some never list at all. Investors relying solely on public markets can therefore miss out. Gaining exposure through private funds is also difficult, as these vehicles often require high minimum investments and face demand that outstrips their capacity.

Under the programme, eligible clients gain access to managers picked through a thorough research and due diligence process run by Savvy’s investment team. The structure aims to spread exposure across several managers, asset classes and vintages. Operationally, subscriptions, reporting and tax paperwork are consolidated and sit alongside the remainder of each client’s holdings on the Savvy platform.

8bn that serves more than 400 advisor firms. The two companies will collaborate on choosing managers and building portfolios for Savvy’s advisors.
