PNC Bank has joined forces with ADP to bring payroll and workforce management capabilities into its digital banking platform, giving small businesses access to employee management and financial services in one place.
The new service, PNC Payroll by ADP, combines payroll processing with human resources (HR), time tracking, insurance, employee benefits and retirement services. Customers can manage these functions alongside their existing banking activities, reducing the need to switch between separate systems.
The integration is designed to help small businesses simplify employee administration, manage cash flow and meet payroll and compliance obligations. ADP’s AI-enabled technology automates routine tasks, while round-the-clock access to payroll specialists provides additional support for customers using the platform.
The offering targets businesses at different stages of development, from sole traders and startups to established firms preparing for expansion.
The agreement builds on ADP’s strategy of embedding payroll and workforce management technology into platforms that businesses already use. The company supports more than 900,000 small business clients and brings experience in helping employers navigate federal, state and local workplace regulations.
Based in Roseland, New Jersey, ADP provides payroll, HR, talent management, benefits and compliance solutions to more than 1.1 million clients across over 140 countries. Its technology serves organisations ranging from small employers to multinational businesses.
PNC Bank is part of Pittsburgh-based The PNC Financial Services Group, which offers consumer and business banking, lending, corporate banking, real estate finance and wealth management services.
Matt Farwell, president of Small Business Services at ADP, said: “Small businesses want technology that works together seamlessly.
