Optimized Payments, a leader in enterprise payments analytics and optimization, today announced the launch of the Harmonize MCP Server, giving customers a secure way to connect compatible AI tools to governed payments data in Harmonize.
As payments teams bring AI into their daily workflows, the quality of the underlying data is becoming a critical constraint. Processor data arrives in different formats, definitions vary across sources, and one-off file uploads can produce answers that look credible but don’t reconcile with the numbers finance and payments teams rely on.
“Harmonize’s MCP connector lets us use AI to explore our payments data, validate chargeback counts, and connect processing fees to revenue analysis. Pairing those insights with our Snowflake data gives us a more complete picture of how payments affect our business,” said Jason Brechler, Payment Operations Manager, PeopleFinders.

Optimized Payments recently measured the impact in The Data Tax, a study that asked the same AI model 80 payments questions across multiple levels of data readiness. With raw processor data and code access, the model met the study’s success criteria on just 5% of questions. With governed, tested calculations, that figure reached 98%, while cost per question fell 84%. The model stayed the same; only data readiness and how the model accessed the data changed.
The Harmonize MCP Server extends that governed foundation into enterprise AI workflows. Built on the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), it allows compatible AI assistants to securely access authorized, normalized and enriched payments data from Harmonize.
