Mastercard has introduced an AI-powered assistant that helps cardholders find, understand and use their card benefits.
Customers can ask questions about their benefits and receive recommendations based on their card, eligibility, location and circumstances.
It can highlight travel benefits, remind customers about airport lounge access and suggest eligible dining or entertainment offers.
Banks can integrate the assistant into their mobile apps or existing AI assistants, with Mastercard managing the underlying technology and content.
“Mastercard Max unlocks more value for cardholders from the benefits they already have while helping issuers turning everyday spend into deeper relationships.
By making benefits a more active part of the customer experience, issuers can also strengthen engagement and create new cross-sell opportunities.”
Saudi Arabia’s SNB Group, South Africa’s Nedbank, Kenya’s I&M Bank and Morocco’s Attijariwafa Bank are also working to introduce the service.
Mastercard Max is available globally for banks to adopt, although customer access depends on individual banks introducing the service.
