Earnix powers In The Car’s push into 18 new US markets

In The Car (ITC), a business that builds digitally integrated insurance offerings for car manufacturers and dealerships, has chosen insurance-focused AI firm Earnix to support its move beyond two US states into a further 18 markets.

ITC will adopt two Earnix tools, the Price-It pricing and rating solution and Filing Accelerator. The deployment will take over work that ITC currently handles manually, putting pricing and filing control in the hands of business users rather than IT staff. The aim is to shorten the time needed to develop and file rates, and to give the company more room to manoeuvre as it enters unfamiliar territories.

With Price-It, ITC’s commercial teams will be able to design, trial and oversee their own pricing, react more quickly when market conditions shift, and draw on broader market and competitor insight when setting future rates. Filing Accelerator, meanwhile, is intended to cut the time between a pricing decision and its launch by automatically producing filing paperwork and helping ensure that the rates submitted to regulators match those used in production.

ITC’s growth plans centre on embedding cover within the car-buying process itself. Its approach lets manufacturers and dealers present insurance to buyers at the moment of purchase, which offers customers a more joined-up experience and gives automotive partners fresh ways to strengthen their relationships with drivers. As that expansion gathered pace, the company found it needed pricing and filing systems capable of growing alongside it.

ITC supplies white-label, digital-first insurance programmes to vehicle manufacturers and dealerships.
