Camelot Network, an insurance industry community founded on generosity, collaboration and shared knowledge, has introduced a new event programme called the Collective Intelligence Series. Its first session will tackle sustainability in the insurance market.
The opening event, titled “Sustainability: If We Can All Win, What’s Stopping Us?”, will gather brokers, insurers, MGAs and senior figures from across the industry to examine one of the most pressing and intricate issues facing the sector.
Sustainability is no longer a side issue for insurance firms and has become a central strategic concern. The debate will therefore ask why tangible progress is still hard to deliver when sustainability can benefit businesses, their customers, local communities and the planet.
Attendees will look at the obstacles holding back sustainability efforts across insurance, as well as the commercial openings it can generate. The discussion will also consider how insurers, brokers and MGAs can each contribute to positive change, how working together could speed up practical progress, and what a sound balance between purpose and performance looks like.
The series will not set out fixed conclusions in advance. It is based on the idea that the strongest thinking comes from people with varied backgrounds, skills and opinions exchanging knowledge freely and testing each other’s views in a constructive way.
Every event in the programme will centre on a major challenge for the industry. Each will bring together professionals from a range of disciplines and specialist areas to trade viewpoints, develop fresh insights and build up the shared capabilities of the insurance market.
