RTGS.global, an operator of a cross-border payment network, has brought AMINA Bank AG (AMINA), a FINMA-regulated bank, onto its platform, introducing regulated digital asset banking to its network for the first time.
Through the agreement, eligible RTGS.global clients can now reach AMINA’s Swiss-regulated banking services. The arrangement is designed to help businesses and financial institutions that work with both conventional and digital assets secure banking support and transfer funds internationally with less friction.
At launch, clients can access CHF and EUR fiat accounts connected to local payment rails, together with digital wallets, all through one platform. Fiat accounts in USD and GBP are scheduled to follow at a later stage.
AMINA becomes the first bank on the RTGS.global network able to provide both fiat and digital asset services. Clients who complete onboarding with AMINA will hold accounts registered directly under their own business name. They will be able to oversee these accounts via the RTGS.global platform, next to their existing banking relationships.
The move responds to a growing requirement among payment service providers and money transfer operators. These firms increasingly seek a single banking partner capable of handling fiat accounts, local rails and digital asset wallets, instead of assembling each function from separate providers.
Initially, the collaboration will concentrate on multi-currency accounts, payment functionality and digital asset wallets. Both parties intend to examine deeper cooperation over time, which could include AMINA acting as an FX pricing participant on the RTGS.global platform.
global chief commercial officer Felipe Hillard said, “When clients are operating across traditional and digital assets, they need banking and payment infrastructure that works across the full journey, rather than having to piece together different providers for different markets.
