Zeekr starts pre-sales for updated 7X in China at $34,220 with battery and comfort upgrades

Zeekr opened pre-sales for the 2027 7X electric SUV in China on Thursday, with prices starting at 229,800 yuan ($34,220), refreshing its lineup with a new battery option and equipment upgrades.

The premium brand under Geely Auto (HKEX: 0175) kept the pre-sales starting price unchanged from the previous 7X. Zeekr previously said the updated model was scheduled for an official launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Customers who place orders before the official launch can pay 2,000 yuan to receive a 7,000 yuan credit under a limited-time offer, according to Zeekr's promotional materials. Display vehicles have arrived at stores nationwide.

Key changes include a 900-volt architecture across the lineup and a new 85-kWh Shendun Golden Battery, filling the capacity gap between the previous model's 75-kWh and 103-kWh packs.

The updated SUV comes in 3 variants: the rear-wheel-drive Max, rear-wheel-drive Max+ and all-wheel-drive Ultra. The Max+ offers an optional 103-kWh Qilin Battery, delivering up to 802 kilometers (498 miles) of CLTC range.

The rear-wheel-drive Max+ comes standard with an 85-kWh battery, offering 680 kilometers of CLTC range. The entry-level Max has a 75-kWh pack, while the all-wheel-drive Ultra uses a 103-kWh pack.

According to Zeekr, the 75-kWh and 85-kWh batteries both support a peak charging rate of 5.5C and can charge from 10% to 80% in 10.5 minutes. The corresponding figures for the 103-kWh battery are 6C and 10 minutes.

These charging times depend on charging infrastructure and test conditions. CLTC range also differs from real-world driving range, which is affected by weather, road conditions and vehicle usage, among other factors.
