Order books have opened for Xpeng's new flagship SUV, the all-electric Xpeng G9L - just in time for its public debut at the Paris Motor Show. The model is being launched simultaneously across 64 countries. In Germany, prices start at €74,600.
Last week, we took our first look inside the Xpeng G9L, the new and extended luxury version of the Xpeng G9. At 5.12 metres in length, it offers plenty of amenities: in the second row, for example, there are two individual seats instead of a bench which are complete with all the trimmings, such as seat heating, ventilation and massage functions.
Following a press preview, Xpeng has now also revealed details about the G9L’s market launch and pricing. The eSUV will be introduced in 64 countries and is now available for order across Europe, with the first models scheduled for delivery to customers in December 2026.
The vehicle features an 800-volt architecture and a very high DC charging power of 540 kW. However, this is currently supported by very few charging stations in Europe – after all, common models like the Alpitronic HYC 400 are only designed for 400 kW. But there are already a few installations in Europe that exceed this, so the Xpeng G9L’s charging system seems future-proof in any case.
Under optimal conditions, the Xpeng G9L can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in under 12 minutes. To ensure the 110 kWh (gross) battery can also be charged in a reasonable time at home, a 22 kW AC charger is included as standard equipment.
