Xpeng is set to work with charging network Electronity to install over 100 charging points in Mexico. The partnership with the network - which is operated by Drivewatt México - initially plans to deploy 30 fast-charging points by the end of 2026. The remaining 70 charging points are set to follow by the end of 2027.
With the expansion of its charging infrastructure, Xpeng is further advancing its activities in Mexico. The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer officially entered the Mexican market in spring 2026, launching the distribution of its G6 and G9 models in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey. Now, a dedicated partnership with a local charging provider is set to complement the offering for customers.
As part of the partnership, the charging network brand ‘Xpeng | Electronity’ will be created. Xpeng customers will receive a 10 per cent discount on charging costs at participating Electronity stations for one year. Additionally, the companies plan to integrate an interactive map of charging station locations into Xpeng’s digital platforms. This will enable drivers to more easily find available charging points and plan their routes, including charging stops.
Collaboration is also planned for the distribution of charging accessories: authorised Xpeng dealers will offer relevant products to customers of other electric vehicle brands in the future. This means the offering will not be exclusive to Xpeng owners.
With this cooperation, the manufacturer is relying on a local infrastructure partner to expand its presence in the Mexican market. The phased rollout aims to increase the number of available charging points to more than 100 within approximately two years.
