Lancia is using the 2026 Paris Motor Show to unveil its new compact SUV, the Gamma. In addition to a petrol version, there will be three electric variants, including an HF Integrale—though not in Germany. The Lancia Gamma will remain unavailable in the German market for the foreseeable future.
In 2024, Lancia heightened anticipation by announcing a new model named Gamma. Fifty years after the debut of the original 1976 model and coinciding with the brand’s 120th anniversary, the new Lancia Gamma is celebrating its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in 2026. The Italian brand’s flagship is set to bridge the gap between its heritage and current Stellantis technology.
However, those hoping for a test drive at their local Lancia dealer in Germany will be disappointed for the foreseeable future. Lancia has not announced any plans to offer the Gamma in Germany, as the brand’s focus markets remain Italy, France, Spain and the Benelux countries.
With a length of 4.67 metres, a width of 1.89 metres, and a height of 1.63 metres, the Gamma fits into the compact crossover segment. Its sloping rear, split roof spoiler, and optimised airflow design give it an impressive drag coefficient of 0.25. Behind the large tailgate, there is a boot capacity of 560 litres. The electric versions of the Gamma weigh up to 2.276 tonnes (with all-wheel drive).
Inside, a round storage surface catches the eye, positioned like a side table between the driver and passenger. It houses controls and a wireless charging pad.
