Volkswagen launches full-scenario Level 2++ ADAS as part of VEGA technology stack

Volkswagen Group China has launched Hyper Sense 8 (HS8), its first in-house full-scenario Level 2++ advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), as part of its newly unveiled VEGA technology stack. Developed through its local intelligent driving center, Carizon, HS8 is designed for Chinese road conditions and combines software-driven decision-making, vehicle-level control expertise and high-performance computing to support urban and highway navigation on autopilot, as well as automated parking.

VEGA integrates three core technology pillars: electronic architecture, next-generation vehicle platforms and ADAS. According to Volkswagen, this integrated approach enables coordination across technology domains, independent and agile development, and a consistent customer experience throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
