TomTom and DeepRoute.ai partner to advance AI-based automated driving

Mapping and location specialist TomTom and AI-powered automated driving technology company DeepRoute.ai have signed a memorandum of understanding covering their joint technical work on automated driving. The companies have integrated TomTom’s location data into DeepRoute.ai’s automated driving stack.

As AI-based automated driving systems advance, location intelligence helps them interpret and navigate complex road environments. Combining DeepRoute.ai’s sensor data with TomTom’s location data will help enable the precise driving decisions required for advanced L2+ and L2++ functions.

This becomes especially important when automated driving solutions are deployed across different markets and their varying roads, traffic rules, driving behaviors and validation requirements.
