Powered by Electrify America offers retailers DC charging support

A turnkey charging package called Powered by Electrify America allows retailers in the United States to build their own branded charging networks backed by one of North America’s largest DC fast charging networks.

The white-label offering from Electrify America is for US retail businesses wanting to operate their own charging stations. The package aims to allow retailers to design the charging experience for their customers and manage elements like branding, pricing and loyalty programs, while Electrify America provides technical expertise and operational support. The Volkswagen subsidiary says the offer can help “increase dwell time, drive incremental revenue, strengthen customer loyalty, and position retailers as destinations for EV drivers.”

According to Electrify America, its “Powered by..” initiative already supports more than 100 stations and nearly 600 chargers across the network. This includes Wawa and Costco chain stores. For electric vehicle drivers, the white-label stations become new charging destinations along with Electrify America’s broader, coast-to-coast network of more than 5,600 chargers across 1,080 stations.

At the annual show for the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) in Las Vegas, coming up from 6-9 October, Powered by Electrify America will be present to support and advise retailers wanting to add vehicle charging to their locations.
