Changan Deepal to launch 2027 L06 sedan October 9, bring S07 and S05 to Paris Motor Show

Deepal, the new energy vehicle (NEV) brand of Changan Automobile (SHE: 000625), will launch the 2027 L06 sedan tomorrow, less than a year after the model's debut.

Meanwhile, the brand is preparing to showcase 2 SUVs at the Paris Auto Show as it expands in international markets.

The 2027 Deepal L06 will go on sale on October 9, alongside the L06 Zhuifeng edition, which debuted at the Chengdu Auto Show in August, local automotive media outlet Yiche reported on Thursday.

Deepal has yet to announce the launch schedule through its official channels. The brand positions the 2027 L06 as a "long-range AI sports sedan with magnetorheological suspension."

Deepal chairman Deng Chenghao said the new model features enhanced AI capabilities, including an AI Agent and an AI Box, allowing it to understand an owner's intentions from a single spoken sentence.

Jointly developed by Deepal and Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), the AI Box uses Intel's Core Ultra platform to bring PC-level on-device AI computing power into the vehicle.

Deepal said this marks the first time this level of computing power has entered the mainstream market for vehicles priced around 150,000 yuan ($22,270).

The L06 features magnetorheological suspension, a technology previously reserved for supercars such as the Ferrari 296 GTB.

The Zhuifeng edition focuses on sporty driving, with a full suite of track-oriented components and a large fixed carbon-fiber rear wing. Deepal said the vehicle can generate up to 1,000 N of downforce at high speeds.
