2027 GMC Sierra 1500 Starting Prices Spike with New Generation

GMC revealed prices for four-wheel-drive crew-cab models, with most rising by a few thousand dollars.

GMC pulled the covers off the new next-generation Sierra 1500 earlier this summer, but we’ve been patiently waiting for more information about its specs and pricing. GM recently shared details about the truck’s new powertrain options, which are highlighted by all-new small-block V-8s. Now, GMC has released prices for its new Sierra 1500, though only for the four-wheel-drive crew-cab models, almost all of which have risen by a few thousand dollars.

For 2027, the Sierra 1500 lineup still kicks off with the entry-level Pro, which now starts at $51,295. That’s a $1955 increase compared with last year’s four-wheel-drive crew-cab version. GMC purists might be sad to learn that the long-running SLE and SLT models have been dropped. That makes the familiar Elevation trim level the new middle ground; it initially starts at $59,995 for 2027. That’s $3600 more than the least expensive Elevation from the 2026 model year, but that truck had the 3VL equipment package, which a GMC spokesperson told Car and Driver will eventually rejoin the lineup and lower its entry price.

7-liter V-8. An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission available on all of GMC’s half-ton trucks.
