Who Does Halloween Better: The Best Looks From the East and West Coast’s Biggest Bashes

Stars brought their A-game to Heidi Klum's New York City party and the Sprouses' first spooky celebration in Los Angeles.

The West Coast Halloween enthusiasts who have long lamented that they’re missing out on Heidi Klum’s annual party might’ve found an alternative this year — thanks to the Los Angeles-based Barbara and Dylan Sprouse.

Throwing their first Halloween bash, the popular couple decked out the Fab Factory Studios in North Hollywood, while Klum brought her legendary soirée to the Moxy Hotel in Manhattan’s East Village for a 25th-anniversary celebration.

Each party was star-studded, featuring the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, Snoop Dogg and even Kyle MacLachlan dressed as his character from 1994’s “The Flintstones,” and more. On the two red carpets alone, attendees made quite the impression, donning elaborate costumes and intricate hair and makeup.

Here, WWD takes a look at the best glam of the night, all the way from Los Angeles to New York.

One half of the host couple, Palvin — who uses her maiden name for professional appearances and Sprouse for personal — joined her husband in channeling Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Covered in green paint head-to-toe, Palvin dressed as a modern version of the character Oogie Boogie, specifically taking on Mattel’s Monster High Skullector doll, which is a stylized version of the film’s primary antagonist. Palvin’s neon green dress blended in with her skin and matching crimped wig. She wore purple contact lenses for a spooky look, completed with exaggerated mouth and eye details in black, and a purple ombré lip.
