Mckenna Grace Turns Into the Girl on Fire at Latest ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ Red Carpet

The actress wore a custom dress by Cong Tri that recreated a costume from "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

Mckenna Grace is on fire. The 20-year-old actress wore a custom design by Cong Tri for her latest red carpet during her “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” press tour with the film’s Berlin premiere on Monday.

Grace’s gown was, yet again, another nod to “The Hunger Games” film franchise and the original adaptations of Suzanne Collins’ young adult book series. The dress, cast in black shimmering detail with flaming elements of red and yellow throughout, was a nod to a scene in 2013’s “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

The scene in question features Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, played by Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, respectively, riding in a chariot during a tribute parade. Lawrence wears a gown with flames trailing her during the chariot ride, with the same silhouette and style as Grace’s Berlin premiere dress. Lawrence’s costume for the film was designed by Trish Summerville.

This is just the latest look from Grace’s ongoing method dressing approach to her “Sunrise on the Reaping” press tour wardrobe. Indeed, this isn’t even the first time Grace has referenced “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.”

The actress kicked off her “Hunger Games” press tour at “Elegance Is Authority: The Story, Style and Power of Panem” in Paris on Oct. 6.
