Three Beauty Trends That Took Over Fashion Month

From New York to Paris, Milan and London catwalks, beauty took bold and beautiful turns.

Beauty keeps getting bolder on the runways, as the most recent spring 2027 fashion season attests. As quiet luxury makes way for more of a statement in fashion, so, too are bolder hair and makeup creations supplanting natural looks.

Here, a look at three beauty trends that made a splash across the shows.

“My collaboration with Antonio Marras has always allowed me to create highly diverse beauty looks that blend all the facets of the brand and its founder: rock ‘n’ roll, romantic and [the one] deeply rooted in craftsmanship,” said makeup artist Riccardo Morandin, who combined multiple trends for this show.

Working with Kiko Milano products, he not only sent down the runway models with red lips designed via the Club K Pigment Pop pencil and lipstick, but alternated that look with sparkling gazes created by layering liquid eye shadow with glitter and metal foils.

At Roberto Cavalli, makeup artist Yadim had the same inclination for highly pigmented metallic shades, a choice that punctuated key looks also at Jil Sander.

A more-is-more approach defined the striking beauty looks conceived by Demna for his latest Gucci outing and executed by makeup artist Sam Visser and his team. The focus on the eyes was conveyed through different techniques, ranging from graphic eyeliners in popping colors to glamorous smokey eyes delivered with the brand’s Stylo Contour des Yeux and finished off by L’Obscur and Le Magnétisme mascaras.
