Sydney Sweeney delivered a suitable transitional look for a warmer-than-usual autumn that New Yorkers are experiencing. The “Anyone But You” star was spotted in SoHo on Wednesday wearing a pair of tiny micro shorts and chocolate-brown boots that are this season’s must-have shoes.

The actress opted for a pair of knee-high boots made of lustrous dark brown leather. The boots featured an elongated, squared-off chisel toe, which has been a bubbling trend for boots and pumps. The boots were complete with a slouchy shaft that gathered right around the ankle.

The boots featured a small kitten heel measuring around three inches, providing just enough of a boost in height. Similar boot styles can be found across various brands like Khaite, Staud, Dolce Vita, Gianvito Rossi, Paris Texas, and more, which feature tall shafts and structured, squared toes.

The actress, who is in New York filming “The Housemaid” sequel, has learned that layering is the key to going from day to night as the cooler months creep in. Sweeney kept that in mind by adding a sheer pair of gray tights under a pair of brown mini shorts that matched her boots. On top, she layered a crisp white T-shirt under her Almada Funda woven jacket.

The Funda jacket is compact, with a cropped body and pronounced shoulders that give it its angular lines. The collarless neckline and minimal front keep the focus on its proportions, while the darker gray buttons down the front provide some contrast.
