Sienna Miller Gives the Little Black Dress a Showgirl Makeover at ‘War’ New York Premiere

The actress wore a dress from Erdem's latest collection on Tuesday night.

Sienna Miller brought a showgirl twist on the little black dress to New York City on Tuesday night in her Erdem dress for the premiere of “War” held at the Perelman Performing Arts Center.

The dress straddled the line between classic LBD styling and playful plumage. Designed by Erdem founder Erdem Moralıoğlu, the dress made its runway debut mere days earlier as part of the British label’s spring 2027 collection.

Constructed in black fabric, the sleeveless dress featured a square neckline and a mostly fitted silhouette with ruching through the waist and hips. Sweeping fabric created a high-low asymmetric hemline, with an ivory floral embellishment at one hip and a cascading train at the back.

Fluffy white feathered trimmings were featured underneath the skirt, peeking through in abundance to create greater volume around the short hemline and trailing fabric. Miller completed her ensemble with a set of black peep-toe pumps and wore statement silver-tone earrings.

Erdem’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection made its London Fashion Week debut earlier in the week. Moralıoğlu “delivered a humdinger of a collection Sunday afternoon that brilliantly mashed up showgirl feathers, boudoir lingerie and sparkly panties aplenty with high-collared Edwardian shirts, jaunty tuxedo jackets and mannish woolen coats,” Miles Socha wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“Moralıoğlu has a penchant for gender-bending historical figures and this season settled on Barbette, a Texas-born man who became an avant-garde sensation in 1920s Paris as a curly haired trapeze artist in a sparkly bra and a feathery skirt,” Socha wrote.
