Spain's queen consort joined her husband, King Felipe VI, on Monday for a reception in Helsinki, Finland.
Queen Letizia of Spain returned to her power suiting ways in a plumed look by Pertegaz during the first day of her trip to Finland alongside husband King Felipe VI in Helsinki on Monday.
The Spanish royal opted for a monochrome ensemble, wearing black tapered trousers with a single-breasted blazer. The blazer was the hero piece of her ensemble, featuring sharp shoulders and angular lapels.
The long sleeves of the blazer included a bevy of thin, frayed feathers that created textural tension. The feathers harkened back to Paris Couture Week in July 2026, when several high-profile figures like Jennifer Lopez and Emma Corrin embraced feathery embellishments in their respective front-row looks.
Adding to Queen Letizia’s monochrome moment, the queen consort added a pair of black leather slingback pumps courtesy of Massimo Dutti. Jewelry pieces were minimal, save for a few rings Queen Letizia wore along with a pair of hoop earrings.
Queen Letizia’s latest power suiting moment is a return to form. The Spanish royal is known for her suited style, wearing pieces by such designers as Carolina Herrera, Bleis and Hugo Boss, among others. Its a wardrobe staple that’s been embraced by several other royal women including, but not limited to, Kate Middleton.
The Princess of Wales regularly sports suits by Burberry and Roland Mouret for daytime engagements and public outings. By contemporary standards, modern royal women can look back to Princess Diana for championing the royal power suit.
