P&G Appoints Shalini Saraswat to Lead Pantene India

THE WHAT? Procter & Gamble (P&G) has promoted Shalini Saraswat to Brand Director and Business Head of Pantene India, strengthening the leadership of its hair care portfolio in the Indian market.

THE DETAILS Saraswat moves into the role after serving as Senior Brand Manager for Head & Shoulders India since April 2024. She joined P&G in 2021 as Brand Manager for Tide India, before progressing to senior marketing positions across the company’s fabric care and hair care businesses. Prior to joining P&G, she worked in global research and development at Unilever. In her new position, Saraswat will oversee Pantene’s brand strategy and commercial operations in India.

THE WHY? The appointment reflects P&G’s focus on strengthening brand leadership and commercial execution within India’s competitive hair care market. Saraswat’s experience across multiple consumer goods categories provides expertise in brand management and market development as Pantene competes for growth in the Indian cosmetics and personal care industry.
