For its latest collaboration with On, Sky High Farms has gone beyond the standard limited-edition colorway to create a new model fit for an actual day’s work.
The Sky High Farms x On Cloud Low is a waterproof slip-on that should prove just as useful out among the crops as it is for style points. Available in all-black or a tonal brown, the shoe features rubber over a good portion of its upper with more flexible polyester visible where a tongue would usually appear.
A padded collar comes with a pull-tab for easy entry, A padded collar comes with a pull-tab with co-branding, and additional marks for the collaborator are limited to an insole with an-allover print featuring its strawberry and moon characters.
Underfoot, two layers of On’s superfoam appears in its signature Cloudtec shape. And perhaps the best detail of on comes via the outsole, which features moon- and strawberry-shaped lugs and moons even climbing up the heel.
Sky High Farms is a certified nonprofit created by the artist Dan Cohen that donates all of its produce and meat to communities and food pantries in New York City and the Hudson Valley. Funding is engineered by the wearable items it produces, which includes quite a prolific series of collaborations.
On first linked up with Sky High Farms last year, with this capsule slated to be their third, and the 40-acre farm has also worked with Converse, Balenciaga, The North Face, Levi’s and more.
The Sky High Farms x On Cloud Low doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date but is loaded up on On’s site with a “coming soon” teaser.
