Launch details for the ACG Air Max Goadome Low Foam SP's debut "Green Goblin" colorway.
After a first-look preview at men’s Paris Fashion Week in June and an early exclusive launch at NYC-based luxury resale shop Luke’s, Nike’s latest sneaker boot hybrid is now set for a wider release next month.
The Nike Goadome Low Foam SP combines two of the Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear brand’s beloved models, fusing the ACG Air Max Goadome boot with the molded polyurethane shell of the Foamposite franchise. The new Foamposite-covered iteration is a continuation of the revamped ACG Air Max Goadome Low, which was introduced to retail in February and offers a new aesthetic for the boot’s low-top variation.
The first Goadome Low Foam SP colorway that will be released at retail is Metallic Gold/Cargo Khaki, a color-shifting style first seen on 1999’s Air Flightposite. With its mix of gold and green hues depending on lighting conditions, the colorway has been affectionately nicknamed “Green Goblin” after the infamous Spider-Man supervillain.
In October, Nike tapped Luke’s for an early release of the Metallic Gold Goadome Low Foam SP. Originally scheduled for a first come, first served release, high demand for the sneaker necessitated an online launch with in-store pick ups.
Beyond this debut Metallic Gold makeup, the Goadome Low Foam SP has also been previewed in familiar all-black and iridescent purple colorways, both of which are expected to arrive at retail in the coming months.
And in addition to the new Goadome Low Foam SP model, Nike is also bringing back another Goadome- Foamposite hybrid in November.
