The leads of the upcoming "Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" film shared what elegance meant to them — and what outfit was really not it.
Paris was “the Capitol” of fashion on Tuesday evening at a soirée kicking off an exhibition dedicated to costumes from “The Hunger Games” franchise.
For the occasion, the gardens of the Musée Rodin were transformed into a venue straight out of fictional federal capital Panem, with chariots lining the red carpet and flags for each district flying.
Ready to “make them remember you,” as Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen is told in the first film series, were Joseph Zada and Mckenna Grace.
The actors will be on the silver screen in November, portraying respectively fan-favorite character Haymitch Abernathy and twins Maysilee and Merrilee Donner in the upcoming “Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.”
Grace glowed in the evening light in a vintage Monique Lhuillier gown, zhuzhed up with a custom 3D structure that looked like a wing. “I was inspired by Katniss’ wedding dress and this is kind-of the kickoff of our press tour,” the actress said. “I wanted to do something fun.”
Completing her outfit for the evening were feathers in her hair, which had turned out to be the bigger challenge. “That was the whole thing, we were trying to find feathers for 40 minutes around Paris,” she confessed.
The result fit her vision of elegance, which is “feeling your best, feeling confident, putting on something that makes you feel fancy,” she said, while Zada gamely added that “Mckenna is elegance for me.”
