Marico has acquired an additional 24.09% stake in plant-based nutrition and personal care brand Plix for ₹1,012.03 Cr in an all-cash deal, taking its total holding in the startup to 84.09%.
The latest transaction is part of an agreement to acquire a total 38.18% stake from Plix’s founders and certain other shareholders.
Marico plans to acquire 14.09% stake in July 2027. The consideration for this tranche will include a base amount of up to ₹592 Cr, along with additional payments linked to milestones.
Marico said the investment in Plix parent Satiya Nutraceuticals and its wholly owned subsidiary Juzio has helped broaden its addressable market across value-added foods and nutrition, while strengthening its presence in the growing personal care and wellness segments.
Founded in 2020 by Satiya and Zaveri, Plix Life is a Mumbai-based D2C startup that sells a wide range of plant-based nutrition products, such as workout supplements, ingestible sunscreens, hair growth serums and skincare products.
To note, Plix parent’s consolidated revenue nearly doubled to ₹864.31 Cr in FY26 from ₹432.84 Cr in FY25.
Marico acquired 37.75% stake in D2C nutrition brand Plix for ₹369.01 Cr in July 2023, and it further acquired 25.25% of the paid-up share capital by May 2025. Plix’s cap table featured names like Guild Capital and RPSG Ventures.
The deal is in line with Marico’s broader push into high-growth consumer categories as the company looks to build businesses beyond its established portfolio of food, personal care and consumer products.
