Louisa Jacobson Skips the Shirt in Haider Ackermann’s Pinstripe Tom Ford Suit at the 2026 WWD Honors

Fresh off her Miu Miu runway debut, the “Gilded Age” actress talked fashion, her increasingly short hair and why a full-on pixie cut might have to wait.

Louisa Jacobson didn’t have to look far for something to wear to the 2026 WWD Honors on Tuesday night. The evening’s Womenswear Designer of the Year, Haider Ackermann, had just sent a collection of shirtless suits down the Tom Ford runway in Paris, and the “Gilded Age” actress was more than happy to try one.

“I’m wearing Tom Ford, of course,” Jacobson told WWD on the carpet.

The ivory pinstripe suit — look 41 on the runway — featured an oversized, double-breasted jacket with sharp shoulders, peaked lapels and a plunging neckline that went all the way down to her waist. A large black flower with a long stem decorated one lapel, while the matching wide-leg trousers fell over her shoes, leaving just a bit of her metallic footwear visible.

It was one of several bare-chested tailoring looks from Ackermann’s September runway show, where the designer experimented with how much — or how little — clothing was needed underneath his suits. In her review of the collection, WWD’s Samantha Conti described the designer’s approach as “perhaps a touch more dangerous,” quoting Ackermann, who said, “There’s more nudity than I’ve ever done before. But it’s not provocative — there’s just this sense of feeling free and taking a risk.”

Jacobson has been taking a few fashion risks of her own lately, including walking the runway for Miu Miu’s spring 2027 show in Paris earlier this month.
