The mother-daughter duo both went vintage on the red carpet on Saturday night, with Jenner wrapped up in a bit of Hollywood history.
Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian made a characteristic splash on the red carpet this Saturday night while attending the “All’s Fair” season 2 premiere at the Rome International Film Festival. Both mother and daughter sported archival pieces for the event, with Kardashian dressed in a leopard print gown from Yves Saint Laurent’s Fall 1986 Haute Couture collection and Jenner wearing Hollywood’s famous Scorpio Cape, once worn by Elizabeth Taylor to Grace Kelly’s 40th birthday celebration.
Jenner is a well-known leopard print aficionado, but on Saturday it was Kim Kardashian sporting her mother’s beloved animal pattern. Kardashian’s vintage gown had a plunging sweetheart neckline with front lace-up corset detailing and a mermaid silhouette. She wore a matching leopard print stole wrapped around her arms and paired the look with glossy black pumps.
Jenner joined her daughter in an equally dramatic look, sporting a black and white velvet hooded cape with two scorpions embroidered across the chest. Jenner wore the cape over a sleek white dress and long white gloves. While a bit of an unconventional look, the cape has an intriguing history behind it.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan is known for their fondness for historic Hollywood attire, with Kim causing something of a scandal at the 2022 Met Gala when she showed up in the actual 1962 gown worn by Marilyn Monroe for her “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” performance.
