As shoppers grow tired of generic recommendations, the AI-powered fashion platform meCore is taking a more thoughtful approach to online discovery with personalized style profiles called “Cores.”
These profiles are made to change with each user’s tastes, moods and inspirations. The platform lets people get custom wardrobe ideas from almost any visual source. Using advanced AI and a catalog of over 300,000 products from top retailers such as Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Anthropologie, meCore helps shoppers find luxury and contemporary brands like Khaite, Veronica Beard, Zimmermann and Rag & Bone that match their unique style.
The platform was created by Dr. Golnaz Abdollahian, a tech industry expert with a Ph.D. from Purdue University and seven years of experience developing new technologies at Apple, plus leadership roles at Microsoft, Sony and Dolby.
Abdollahian launched meCore with the idea that artificial intelligence should support human individuality, not just group people into predictable categories. This belief is at the heart of the platform’s mission to “refuse to be beige.” By focusing on highly personalized curation instead of mass data collection, meCore aims to lead the conversation about the future of e-commerce, algorithm-driven discovery and real self-expression in retail.
Here, Abdollahian, tells Sourcing Journal how the platform helps in product discovery, who the target user is and what the shopping experience is like.
