As its Madison Avenue boutique reopens, the diamond jeweler is charting further global expansion, building its U.S. business and strengthening its position in high jewelry.
De Beers London is advancing its bid to become a more formidable player in luxury jewelry with the reopening of its Madison Avenue flagship, the latest step in a broader repositioning that encompasses global retail expansion, a renewed emphasis on high jewelry and a more distinct creative identity.
The reimagined 2,156-square-foot boutique reopened last month and is already delivering significant double-digit growth, according to Emmanuelle Nodale, chief executive officer of De Beers London. The company said it has seen an impact on sales since the renovation, which brings to New York a retail concept introduced in Paris earlier this year and subsequently rolled out in Hong Kong.
“We are building a challenger position for De Beers London, with the ambition to establish the house as a defining voice in contemporary diamond jewelry,” Nodale said.
The U.S. remains a priority for the brand, which is seeing particularly strong demand for its high jewelry collections. Beyond its own boutiques, De Beers London is pursuing distribution through select American department stores, although prospective partners have yet to be disclosed. The company is also bolstering its high jewelry expertise and client development capabilities as it looks to deepen relationships with existing customers and cultivate a new generation of collectors.
The company expects to end 2026 with 24 stores globally, with plans to introduce the new retail concept at several major locations in China next year.
