While accepting an Artistic Achievement Award at Chicago’s Music Box Theater Saturday night, Coon sported a bright pair of what looked like Jude Kiss pumps in magenta satin.
Carrie Coon appeared at Chicago’s Music Box Theater this Saturday night where she received an Artistic Achievement Award from the Chicago International Film Festival. For the event, Coon went mostly formal, dressed in a Magda Butrym wool-blend midi dress, but paired the otherwise reserved look with some vibrant footwear. Coon appeared to be wearing an eye-catching pair of Jude Kiss pumps in magenta satin.
Coon went a bit conservative for the event. Her long-sleeved dress felt somewhat business casual with its column silhouette, padded shoulders, crew neck all in a shade of subdued heather gray. A bit of asymmetrical ruching near the waistline added some texture, but the dress was fairly traditional overall. Less demure, however, was Coon’s choice of shoes.
She sported a radiant pair of pointed-toe stiletto pumps with a v-cut vamp in glossy satin fabric. What was perhaps most notable about the shoes was the color, Coon’s footwear a bold shade of magenta that stood out against her outfit’s otherwise charcoal tones. The choice added a touch of fun to the serious, stately look.
The shoes were a refreshing change of pace for Coon, who’s been seen in classy but less-than-colorful footwear as of late. In a recent New York City appearance, the “White Lotus” star stepped out in a pair of gray Giovanni Rossi Gianvito 85 pumps paired with a similarly monochromatic ensemble in various shades of gray and black.
