Adidas Teams up with Milan-based Tea Brand Cromo

Design-led tea brand Cromo and Adidas Running release a limited-edition capsule collection and teahouse experience built around the 2026 Berlin Marathon.

MILAN — In an age of unlikely collaborations, Adidas Running has collaborated with a company that makes tea.

On Wednesday, design-led tea brand Cromo and Adidas Running said it will release a limited-edition capsule collection and teahouse experience built around race-day and the 2026 Berlin Marathon, which takes place Sunday.

At the heart of the collection is the Cromo x Adidas Running Hydration & Matcha Ritual Vest, which reimagines the traditional running vest as an on-the-go matcha kit for runners balancing exertion with recovery. It includes a limited-edition ceramic chawan and kusenaoshi made from upcycled clay and reclaimed process water, bamboo tea implements and an airtight, UV-protected travel tin.

Cromo was founded by former fashion executive-turned-tea sommelier Jenny D. Pham and artist Phil America. Pham and America, partners in business and life, are also the founders of Milan-based design company and studio Objects Are By.

The duo founded Cromo in 2026, with the aim of changing the way modern generations engage with tea as a ritual.

“We have this mission to change the way people feel about tea,” Pham said, adding that the firm wants to promote tea as the original wellness drink. “Tea can be linked to health and wellness,” she underscored.

Cromo will perform a tea ceremony in the Adidas runners hub named Home of Fast before the Berlin Marathon on Friday and Saturday, as runners prepare them for the race.
