Verizon confirms $10 monthly fee for new iPhone Handoff feature

Following T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom, Verizon has now confirmed how much it will charge customers to use Apple’s new iPhone Handoff feature. Here are the details.

During Apple’s “Surprise and Shine” event last month, the company shared more details about iPhone Handoff, a new iOS 27 feature first previewed at WWDC that lets users share a single phone number across two iPhones.

Apple announced that the feature would initially be supported by T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom, with Verizon and EE expected to follow before the end of the year.

Shortly after the event, T-Mobile confirmed a $5 monthly fee for iPhone Handoff, while Deutsche Telekom made the feature available through its existing MultiSIM service, which costs €6.95 per month unless already included in the customer’s plan.

Today, as spotted by MacRumors, Verizon also confirmed its pricing for iPhone Handoff, announcing that it will charge $10 per month, twice as much as T-Mobile.

Verizon will support iPhone Handoff, giving customers the flexibility to use a single Verizon phone number seamlessly across two compatible iPhone models. Whether using the pocketable iPhone Duo on the go or iPhone 18 Pro for work, customers can switch active status between devices at any time while keeping full access to Verizon’s 5G network. iPhone Handoff will be available from Verizon for $10/month on compatible iPhones models running iOS 27.

AT&T, meanwhile, seemingly has no plans to support Apple’s new iPhone Handoff feature. When CNET asked about it last month, the carrier acknowledged its potential benefits but said it was focused on its existing eSIM activation and transfer options instead.
