Here’s what Siri AI looks like on HomePod, per leak

All signs point to Siri AI coming to HomePod soon via new hardware, and leaker pdfu today shared evidence of what the new Siri could look like on a HomePod.

Apple doesn’t discuss future products, but it’s been widely rumored for months that Siri AI will be coming to new Apple TV 4K and HomePod devices set for release soon.

When Apple introduced Siri AI in June, it gave zero mention of the assistant coming to tvOS or HomePod software. Many assumed that was because the new Siri will require new hardware that hasn’t yet been unveiled.

Now via a new X post from leaker pdfu, we may have our first glimpse at what Siri AI running on a HomePod will look like. Here’s the post and video:

Get ready for Siri AI on HomePod.

audioOS 27 includes Linwood, the system behind Siri AI, plus a new look and sound for Siri on HomePod. May require new hardware.

The new status lights emphasize white, blue and orange, matching Siri AI’s palette on other devices.

As the post says, HomePod 27 software includes the necessary code for Siri AI—it just isn’t active right now for users.

pdfu clarifies in a follow-up post that it’s unclear whether Siri AI will be tied to new hardware exclusively, but that seems a near certainty.

If Apple planned to bring Siri AI to older HomePod models, it likely would have announced the feature back in June. The company’s complete silence on Siri AI for Home products strongly suggests there will be a strict hardware requirement.
