Apple releases iOS 27.2 RC for iPhone

Apple has released the first iOS 27.2 release candidate for iPhone. The update brings Apple’s next iPhone software release one step closer to its public launch.

After several beta versions, Apple is putting the final touches on iOS 27.2. If testing doesn’t uncover anything that requires another build, the release candidate could be the version that reaches everyone.

The beta cycle has introduced Group FaceTime Dual Capture, more Siri AI languages, Apple TV app profiles, and changes to how Apple Podcasts organizes episodes.

Apple Music also has a new app icon and updated color scheme . The black-and-white icon replaces the familiar red design, while blue now highlights the active tab inside the app.

One feature that Apple pulled from testing is the overhauled Health app . It appeared in earlier iOS 27.2 betas before Apple restored the previous Health app in beta 4. The upgrade is still planned for release later this year.

We’ll update our coverage with any notable changes discovered in the release candidate. Spot anything new in iOS 27.2 RC? Let us know in the comments below!
