PANews reported on September 23, citing CCTV Finance, that Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he is bullish on "biological enhancement" over the next decade, and that the "Neuralink" company he co-founded is trying to break through the bottleneck of human information transmission bandwidth. Musk said that even if AI is friendly enough and willing to serve humans, the speed of information transmission between humans and machines is still too slow. The peak human bandwidth is only about 100 bits per second, and our information output speed is extremely low. Computers, meanwhile, communicate with each other at trillions of bits per second. Any technology that can improve the speed of human communication will improve alignment between humans and machines. Otherwise, for an AI communicating at trillions of bits per second, communicating with a human would be like a human talking to a tree.
