LeadDesk says a vendor-agnostic AMD-based stack with QuTwo compression aims to improve European-language customer conversations.
LeadDesk said it is working with AMD Silo AI and QuTwo on a sovereign AI stack designed to improve customer conversations in European languages, starting with the Nordic market. The collaboration is framed around running open-weight models on AMD hardware and keeping the system locally controllable for organisations that need more oversight than vendor-locked cloud AI can provide.
In the source material published by AMD on Fri, 23 Oct 2026, the companies said the stack runs on AMD Instinct MI350P PCIe cards and ROCm open software. AMD provides the compute and software infrastructure, AMD Silo AI contributes engineering expertise, QuTwo supplies model compression technology, and LeadDesk provides the customer-engagement platform and conversational data. The companies said the goal is to turn open-weight foundations into purpose-optimised models that can be fine-tuned and deployed efficiently, with near-frontier capability for specific tasks, languages and workloads.
The announcement argues that contact centres face a different problem from broad consumer AI tools: they need accurate speech recognition for regional accents, reliable handling of names and numbers, and support for tone and register in real conversations. AMD’s post says smaller European languages remain underserved by the largest frontier models, which tend to skew toward English and can struggle with local speech patterns and cultural context. It also says the sovereign approach is intended to keep the model and infrastructure open to inspection and control.
LeadDesk said the arrangement is meant to unlock real-time guidance for agents, voice AI that can converse naturally in European languages, and tools suitable for regulated sectors such as healthcare, financial services and the public sector.
