The ‘Terrifier’ Trilogy Returns to Theaters for Halloween

While Terrifier fans wait to see what gruesome delights Art the Clown serves up in Terrifier 4, the first three films of Damien Leone‘s splatter sensation are returning to theaters very soon. Just in time for Art’s second-favorite holiday, in fact, though you could surely wear your blood-stained Santa suit as your Halloween costume.

As Variety reports, Terrifier (2016), Terrifier 2 (2022), and Terrifier 3 (2024) will play in Regal theaters across the country from October 29 to 31. This year’s Obsession raised the bar for low-budget horror box-office grosses, but Terrifier 3 is still a notable entry on that list, having been made for $2 million and raking in $90 million in return.

Terrifier 4 should be arriving in theaters in 2027; in May, Leone revealed that it will be set around New Year’s Eve, which suggests it might pick up immediately following the third film’s Christmas chaos. The sinister clown played by David Howard Thornton is also said to be getting a more detailed origin story in the fourth film.

No matter what, fans can surely look forward to more innovative slaughter, though exactly how Leone will top Art’s fondness for splitting people in two and incorporating hungry rats into his murder methods remains to be seen.

The Terrifier screenings are presented by Dead by Daylight , a fitting collaboration since Art the Clown will soon pop up as a villain in that game . You can check the Regal website for details on where to catch the carnage near you.
