Startup news and updates: Daily roundup (November 3, 2026)

India continues to remain an important growth market for Apple as startups continue to raise funding across cheque sizes. YourStory brings you this and other latest developments across sectors.

India emerged as a stellar growth market for Apple in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, registering an all-time company revenue record in the country. “We also set September quarter revenue records in both developed and emerging markets, in addition to an all-time record in India,” Apple Chief Executive Officer John Ternus said. The performance in India was propelled by a September quarter record for iPhone upgraders, with Worldpanel survey data ranking iPhone among the top-selling smartphone models in the country.

Venture capital (VC) funding into Indian startups touched a new low in October, with a decline of 66% against October of last year. When compared with the VC funding raised in September 2025, the drop was 49%. The total VC funding in October came in at just $581 million as compared with $1.6 billion in October 2025, according to YourStory Research. In September 2026, the funding amount was $1.1 billion.

PowerUp Money, a wealthtech platform offering mutual fund advice and digital wealth management services, has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Flourish Ventures, an early-stage investment firm. Existing investors Peak XV Partners, Accel, Blume Ventures, Kae Capital, 8i Ventures and DeVC also participated.

The Bengaluru-based company plans to use a significant portion of the capital to develop its AI-powered wealth management platform and expand its managed advisory business.
