Samsung is running its much-loved “double the storage” promo on its Galaxy Z Fold 8 right now.
A common pre-order perk over the years on Samsung Galaxy devices has been doubled storage at no added cost. Basically, get the next tier up at the cost of the base model. Samsung has brought this back occasionally after pre-orders end, but usually with a catch or two.
That’s what we’re seeing right now on the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
You can currently get the Galaxy Z Fold 8 with “double the storage on select colors” from Samsung.com right now. That limited color is “Lavender,” but the other catch is that it also only applies to the upper 1TB model.
Getting that for $400 off is nothing to shake a stick at – it’s a very good deal. It’s just that most Fold 8 buyers are probably already going to balk at the $1,899 price of the base model, especially when Amazon still has it for $1,599 (or $1,799 for the 512GB model). Amazon doesn’t sell the Fold 8 with 1TB of storage at all.
This isn’t the only device that’s offering doubled storage, though, as Samsung.com is also offering the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in “Green Shadow” with the same limited-time offer. This time it’s the 512GB model for the price of the 256GB model, $2,099.
Both offers are still eligible for trade-in discounts of up to $800 or, if you forgo that, a flat $350 discount on the standard Fold 8.
