The pick of this weekend’s La Liga fixtures sees seemingly unstoppable Barcelona travel to Seville to face a Real Betis team who could move to within two points of the league leader with a win today.
Barça’s perfect start to the campaign continued last weekend with a comfortable 3-0 win over midtable Getafe. Hansi Flick’s team followed up that win with an equally comfortable 4-1 triumph over Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League in midweek to make it 10 straight wins across all competitions for the Catalan giants.
Third-placed Betis has also enjoyed a productive week. Manuel Pellegrini’s Verdiblancos claimed a 5-2 win over Osasuna last time out in Spain’s top flight, followed by an impressive 3-2 win over Porto in the UCL in midweek.
Real Betis takes on Barcelona on Saturday, Oct. 17, at El Estadio La Cartuja in Seville, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. CEST local time. That makes it a 12:30 p.m. ET or 9:30 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, a 5:30 p.m. BST kickoff in the UK and a 3:30 a.m. AEDT kickoff in Australia on Sunday morning.
ESPN once again has the rights to La Liga and is showing all 380 matches on its streaming service, including today’s game.
ESPN’s streaming platforms have changed. The sports network now offers two tiers with its direct-to-consumer setup: ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited.
ESPN Select will give you streaming access to every La Liga match this season for $14 per month.
However, if you want La Liga plus everything the network offers online, then you’ll want to go for ESPN Unlimited, which costs $32 a month and carries content from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNews, and ESPN Deportes.
