It's not every day a high-performance gaming controller gets described as "gentle, calm, and romantic," but 8BitDo somehow pulled it off.

Distributed across European territories courtesy of Game Outlet Europe and available direct-to-consumer in the U.S., the new 8BitDo Ultimate 3 Lavender Dusk special edition trades the hyper-aggressive, stealth-bomber look of typical pro pads for a soft, Rococo-inspired pastel scheme in natural lavender tones.

While the exterior looks soft and gentle, the internals are built purely for competitive play. At the center of the hardware upgrade are new Tunnel Magnetoresistance (TMR) joysticks. Unlike standard analog sticks that wear down and drift over time, these use magnetic sensors to guarantee long-term durability and pinpoint sensitivity.

Even better, 8BitDo built physical "Force Rings" right around the base of the thumbsticks. Want tighter resistance for precise sniping in shooters? Dial the ring to increase tension. Need loose, lightning-fast flicks for racing or action games? Spin it back down.

The Hall Effect impulse triggers use contactless magnetic sensors with two-stage physical stops, allowing you to instantly convert them into hair-triggers for shooters. To expand your control options, 8BitDo paired the two remappable rear paddle buttons with extra high-speed L4 and R4 bumpers right beside the standard shoulder triggers.
