The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) have partnered to integrate CAMS Lens, an AI-powered regulatory intelligence platform, into the Regulatory Intelligence module of the NISM Compliance & RegTech Lab.
The collaboration agreement was signed in Mumbai on October 14, according to a joint statement.
The integration will provide students, faculty members and market professionals access to tools for researching regulatory and compliance requirements across India's capital markets, with a focus on intermediaries regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
CAMS Lens brings regulatory information and intelligence together in a structured platform to support regulatory management, compliance oversight and audit readiness. Under the arrangement, its Regulatory Content and Intelligence module will be available across devices at the lab, with additional access for faculty members.
The NISM Compliance & RegTech Lab provides a technology-based learning environment covering regulatory technology, risk management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and market surveillance. Its training model uses simulated identities, transactions and case files to familiarise participants with compliance-related scenarios.
The integration will form part of the lab's training on regulatory interpretation and compliance workflows, including screening, risk assessment, transaction monitoring, investigations, evidence evaluation and reporting.
Sashi Krishnan, director of NISM, said the integration would strengthen the lab's Regulatory Intelligence module and give participants exposure to technology-enabled regulatory research.
Anuj Kumar, managing director and CEO of CAMS, said the collaboration would extend the use of CAMS Lens to a learning environment and support the development of professionals working with regulatory and compliance requirements.
