It was only a few weeks ago that Marvel announced a new TV show in Zodiac. Billed as an espionage spy thriller, there’s a lot of mystery surrounding it, but now we know who’ll be penning the story.
Deadline recently reported Marvel snagged writers Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem as head writers. As many online have discovered, Leshem created the original Israeli series Euphoria (and executive produced its western adaptation on HBO). Working with Cohen, the duo’s co-created or worked together on several Israeli thrillers like Traitor and Hulu’s No Man’s Land.
In the comics, “Zodiac” has been used interchangeably between organizations and specific people. Moon Knight currently has an enemy with that name, and in the past, there’ve been criminal and supervillain groups that’ve come together, each of them named after one of the 12 signs. At the moment, we just know the upcoming series may star two agents chasing superpowered targets, presumably around the world.
At time of writing, this series is expected to begin production in 2027 with plans to hit Disney+ the following year. Along with being Marvel’s latest spy show after 2024’s Secret Invasion, it’ll also be the first show after Daredevil: Born Again concludes next March.
