Logitech G Pro X2 Rapid review: Is this keyboard worth the Logi premium?

The Logitech G Pro X2 Rapid keyboard is Logi’s shot at the elite gaming market. Packing magnetic switches, a (modest) array of features and 8,000Hz polling, it’s designed for competitive players needing bags of speed and performance — especially if they’re using Logi’s other elite gear, like the Pro X3 SuperStrike mouse.

It isn’t all play and no work, though. The X2 Rapid types and sounds surprisingly good for a gaming deck. Add in some rather nice looks and Logi’s usual build quality, and it sounds like a compelling package.

Alas, as someone who has tested, used and owned scores of keyboards, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend this one. And that mainly comes down to price. At $229, the X2 Rapid offers way fewer features than cheaper rivals.

Could this still be one of the best gaming keyboards for you? Find out in my full Logitech G Pro X2 Rapid review.

The Logitech G Pro X2 Rapid offers some neat gaming features thanks to its magnetic switches, plus pleasant typing, custom-keyboard-esque sound, and strong build quality.

The X2 Rapid is a gaming keyboard first and foremost, so the most important thing is for it to provide a decent roster of useful gaming features. And it does (just about). Underneath the keycaps are a set of Logitech’s custom Gateron KS-20 linear magnetic switches, opening up the essential features you’d expect from a modern gaming deck.

1mm, which makes the keys super sensitive for fast inputs. 75mm. This was still sensitive enough that I just needed to nudge the keys to chuck a grenade or jump, speeding up my actions during fast-paced titles like "Counter-Strike 2" and "Wardogs".
