iPhone Duo sells out on Blinkit in 5 minutes in Delhi-NCR; more stock expected soon

Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, has seen strong demand as sales began in India. The device sold out within minutes of becoming available on Blinkit in Delhi-NCR, with the quick-commerce platform planning to bring in more units in the coming weeks.

Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of Blinkit’s parent company, Eternal, announced the development in a post on X, saying the platform launched the iPhone Duo at 8:15 am on October 23, exclusively in Delhi-NCR.

“All units were sold out within 5 minutes,” Dhindsa wrote, adding that Blinkit was working to secure more stock in the coming weeks.

We launched iPhone Duo on Blinkit at 8:15 AM this morning (only in Delhi NCR).

The strong demand on Blinkit comes amid reports of limited availability of the device across India. According to a PTI report dated October 22, Apple had exhausted its first week’s stock of the iPhone Duo in the country ahead of its scheduled sale on October 23.

Sources familiar with inventory movement told PTI that Apple’s stores in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and Saket in New Delhi had recorded the highest number of pre-bookings, with the two stores reporting similar booking numbers.

“First week stock of iPhone Duo is entirely sold out in India. Apple Stores located in BKC and Saket are very close in terms of booking numbers,” a source told PTI. Pre-orders for the foldable smartphone opened in India on October 16.

The iPhone Duo is priced between ₹2,99,900 and ₹4,49,900 in India, depending on the storage variant.
