The year 2026 has been all about refreshes for Xreal and its lineup of One AR glasses. It started with the Xreal 1S that launched this past spring and continues with the new Xreal One Pro Plus that launches today (Oct. 15).
The original One Pro is one of the best smart glasses on the market right now. So I was excited to get some hands-on time with the updated One Pro Plus before it launched to see how it compares to the original Xreal One Pro AR glasses that released back in April of 2025.
The refreshed One Pro Plus launches at an interesting time, just as Xreal is supposed to release its Project Aura Android XR glasses, which are both more expensive and feature dedicated spatial computing capabilities.
Are the One Pro Plus worth the upgrade? Read on to find out.
Xreal specifically kept its in-house X1 spatial computing chip, native 3DoF anchoring, and 57-degree field of view the same. Instead, the updates were "targeted" by Xreal to improve daily viewing.
Nicely, the Plus retains the same $599 price as the original One Pro.
You'll notice it in the 1,200 nits of brightness, up from 700 in the original One Pro. I don't have the One Pro to compare, but even budget glasses like the RayNeo Air 4 Pro hit 1,200 nits, so this update is overdue and necessary.
The Plus also adds AI HDR to improve perceived image quality. Additionally, the 2D-to-3D conversion has been upgraded from 30 FPS to 60 FPS, which makes spatial content smoother.
