Starlink is coming to many airlines, but the rollouts are all in different stages of completion.
More and more airlines are adding faster Wi-Fi to their flights, with many opting for Starlink's satellite internet. According to Starlink, over 200,000 flights worldwide are already using its service. But because not all airlines offer Starlink and many rollouts are still in progress, it's worth checking before you book your flight if the service is important for you.
In North America, Alaska Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines and WestJet are in the process of adding it to their respective fleets. Internationally, Lufthansa, Swiss, Emirates, Qatar Airways, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, airBaltic, Aer Lingus, Air France and British Airways are offering Starlink Wi-Fi on some of their flights.
Third-party websites, like Starlink Flights and Stardrift, are tracking Starlink rollouts across commercial carriers and can help you estimate whether your upcoming flight may be equipped with the high-speed Wi-Fi. But these trackers aren't always up to date, and some airlines have only completed installs on certain plane types.
Only a few commercial airlines have finished adding Starlink to their fleets as of October 2026. Hawaiian Airlines offers Starlink on all of its Airbus planes, and Alaska has completed its regional Starlink rollout for Horizon Air flights.
ZipAir Tokyo, a small commercial airline owned by Japan Airlines with just eight planes, has fully completed its Starlink rollout. ZipAir began operations in 2020 and offers budget flights from select North American and Asian cities to Tokyo. ZipAir finished its Starlink rollout in May and offers it on its entire fleet of Boeing 787-8 planes.
