Envision Capital's Nilesh Shah bets on OnEMI and Milky Mist for their strong growth potential

Envision Capital is bullish on consumer financial technology platform OnEMI Technology Solutions and dairy company Milky Mist Dairy Food, driven by their strong growth metrics and differentiated business models, according to the Founder Nilesh Shah.

Discussing the financial sector, Shah highlighted OnEMI, which operates the product loan platform Kissht, as a "quick credit" business equipped with a robust technology stack that enables rapid loan processing. The company recently reported quarterly earnings showing a solid growth rate of 40-50%.

"I still believe that in the overall context, it's still kind of a small business, probably less than a billion dollars of assets under management (AUM)," Shah said. "Probably just about there and growing at a 40-50% growth rate, which is quite phenomenal. If they manage the credit cost well, who knows? I mean, this could be a phenomenal business."

He cautioned that as a credit business, it remains essential to monitor credit quality and costs, though he noted the company's leadership team has managed them well so far.

In the dairy sector, Envision Capital favours Milky Mist for its unique approach to the market. Unlike traditional milk companies that aim for 10-30% of their sales to come from value-added products, Milky Mist generates 100% of its revenue from this segment.

Shah described the company as "value-added native" and noted that the current regulatory push for high-quality products heavily favours such businesses.

"There's a huge shift from unorganised to organised, and that's probably just started," he said, adding that over the next five to 10 years, these companies have the potential to become significantly larger.
